How to treat Bee & Wasp Stings & What you should have in your Home!


Wasp & Bee stings can be extremely painful and dangerous if you’re allergic to them. Summer Barbecue’s have started and being prepared incase a guest is stung is important. It should be noted that those with severe allergies should seek professional medical attention and having an EpiPen can assist. An EpiPen will assist with those that have severe allergies to give them enough time to get to the hospital.

Steps to take when stung:

  • Remove the Stinger

  • Clean out area with soap and water. You can also use Apple Cider Vinegar which is a natural remedy that will draw out the venom and stop swelling

  • Apply ice for 10 minutes as this will reduce allergic response

  • Have an antihistamine like Benadryl to assist with relief

  • Apply some Calamine or natural home remedy like baking soda and water can create a natural paste
