  • Empty your vacuum bag regularly to allow for ultimate suction power. The fuller the bag or cup in your machine with debris the less effective the vacuum is.
  • The beater bar needs to be cleaned regularly to get the best results when vacuuming. Each time you change your bag check your beater bar to assure hair is removed and bristles aren't worn. The beater bar is at the bottom of your machine and is used to loosen soils in the carpet. Replacing your beater bar annually will increase the effectiveness of your vacuum.
  • Check your belt that connects to your beater bar to allow it to rotate. Belts wear out often and when they snap can either mark your carpet damaging it or cause your beater bar to not rotate. A non-worn new belt will increase the effectiveness of your beater bar to allow for sharper looking patterns.
  • Check your height adjustment setting. Though some individuals like to set the height adjustment higher to make the machine easier to push, the quality of the job is impacted by a higher setting.
