Clean doesn’t mean Healthy | Disinfecting is Essential when Cleaning

Having a clean facility or home may always look great, though if it isn’t healthy is it really clean? Sparkling may look very nice, though when cleaning disinfecting is highly important. Germs can live for days on all surfaces and when cleaning properly disinfecting is also essential. Many cleaning chemicals might actually remove dirt and germs, though if it isn’t killing the germs the area isn’t truly clean. All cleaning supplies should have a good disinfectant cleaner in the bucket as part of their cleaning chemicals supply tool kit.

There is a big difference when cleaning between disinfecting and cleaning an area. There are a lot of cleaning chemicals that are great cleaning solutions for removing dust, dirt and other soils. Disinfectant chemicals are cleaning solutions that actually kill and destroy germs. Many cleaning chemicals are great for cleaning a gym for instance, though if no disinfectant is used when cleaning if MRSA is present it won’t be killed. Disinfectant cleaners also need to be used properly in order to be effective. Many individuals spray cleaning chemicals and immediately wipe the area they are cleaning with the cleaning rag or cleaning sponge they’re using. This will not allow the disinfectant chemicals to work. Most Disinfectant chemicals need to be sprayed and allowed to sit on the area for at least 20 seconds to begin to actually kill the germs effectively. Spraying your cleaning chemical and immediately wiping will not work. Spray all disinfectant chemicals on the area you wish to clean and wait for them to truly kill the bacteria and germs for 30 seconds before wiping away.

In summary it is always nice to have a clean area that shines and sparkles, though the area needs to also be healthy. For areas to truly be healthy a good disinfectant cleaning chemical should be used. Looking at a nice clean facility is nice and it’smuch nicer if the area is truly healthy from the use of a good disinfecting cleaning solution.
